Barmouth Harbour - Work in Progress |
Another painting of Barmouth - this time it's the harbour. I didn't think this one would be difficult but Barmouth harbour is pretty complicated. I decided to choose a less dense area overlooking Fairbourne and the Bridge once again over the estuary. Mainly because if you pan around to your left there's a lot of buildings, bridges and impossible perspective angles. You'll see what I mean from an earlier blog:
The Calm before the Storm. I don't think I'll finish this tonight, I find it better to do the colours when I have natural light spilling into my room. However I could be busy this weekend, sister is coming over and I have a baby shower to attend!

Looking forward to see it with colour! Looks great already!
ReplyDeleteHi Katie,
ReplyDeleteThanks for dropping by my blog. I was glad I was able to link over here to see some of your work. It's very good. Love all the colors you use. I just started doing ATCs in all mediums . If you ever want to trade just let me know. Just keep in mind I'm a newB at them. Not everything I invision comes out as I invisioned it would LOL.
Thank you Lori, I really liked your art, I'm very much into journals so I always enjoy other people's methods. I'll get in touch about ATC swapping at a later date, my budget has reached nearly zero in terms of postage and I also have a baby arriving soon and will be pretty commited probably!!! Hey ho... I'll keep checking in though :)
DeleteWhat a super great start! :) Keep at it. Love what I'm seeing here so far.
ReplyDeleteTY Alexandra and welcome to my blog :)

DeleteHi Katie!Lovely work in progress!First of all, thanks for visiting my blog.Answering your question now: I painted an old photo ( the one inside the bottle. I intended to make a collage in the beginning). But I didn't have enough time since I had others challenges. So it is digital.I guess it's gonna be beautiful if it is printed.Have a super day!
